Although Japan Airlines is headquartered in Japan, it has four main airport hubs within the country and travels to more than 30 international destinations. These destinations are found in North America, Europe, Oceania and Asia. Those wishing to go to another country in Asia can choose from destinations such as China, Hong Kong, and South Korea. Those who want to go to Europe can fly to Italy, France and Denmark.

When traveling with this airline, you can choose from four classes: Economy Class, Premium Economy Class, Business Class and First Class. Economy Class and Premium Economy Class offer basic services, while Premium Economy seats are wider and provide additional legroom. If you fly Business Class, you'll be offered a convertible seat, gourmet meals, and free alcoholic beverages. First Class includes additional luxuries such as a private sleeping pod and airline lounge access while you wait for your flight to depart.

JAL is a member of oneworld, an airline alliance that includes companies such as Cathay Pacific, American Airlines and British Airways. It also has codeshare agreements with many additional businesses such as Fiji Airways, Air France, Iberia and Qantas.

This airline has more than 150 planes and most planes are Boeing, Airbus or Mitsubishi. The aircraft most frequently used by the company is the Boeing 737-800, it is designed for medium range flights and fits around 120 to 145 passengers. For larger international flights, the Boeing 777-300 is more commonly used because it can fit up to 500 people.
